Blanche Nomellini

Blanche (Bianca) NomelliniBlanche (Biana) Nomellini was born on May 16, 1904 in San Francisco, California. She departed this life on February 12, 2009 at the age of 104 years. She was one of eight children and was preceded in death by her brothers Guido Lotti, August Lotti, Romeo Michelucci and Jules MIchelucci, and her sisters Rosina Rovai and Nellie Marchi. She is survived by her sister, Julia Gervais, of Sebastopol, California. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Aladino, her son Guido, her granddaughter Pamela, and her daughter-in-law, Inez. She also leaves a great-grandson, Robert Basquez, who resides in Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews that will greatly miss her. In addition, she leaves her devoted caregiver, Ruby See, who has been with her during the past 15 years. She also leaves her friend and adviser, Don Travers and his wife, Inge, who have supported her over many years, as well as many friends and neighbors.From her early years helping her family raise artichokes in Pacfica, she was always resourceful, friendly, a hard worker, and had a ready smile. She worked for Ghiradelli Chocolate Factory in San Francisco for over 40 years. She and her husband, Aladino, purchased property on Edinburgh Street and built a home there, in which she resided for over 60 years. Blanche was always an example of strength, humor and friendship.
