Ella Muller

At peace on March 4, 2009. Born Nov 24, 1945, in Muralto Switzerland to her parents Fritz and Margaret Muller-Rohr. Ella came to the USA in 1967, first to Lake Forest, Illinois on May 1st. She worked there for a year, as a nanny for eleven (11) children. In 1968 she drove cross country and arrived in San Francisco. She quickly fell in love with the city. She first worked for Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Church, a prominent landscape architect for many years.In 1973 she completed a civil service exam and was hired by the city and county of San Francisco Department of Parking and Traffic. She worked as a Parking Control Officer until 1991. At that time she was promoted to Sr. Parking Control Officer and worked successfully as a supervisor until 2006. At that time she retired. She was very much loved by her co-workers. She was always trying to help, in order to make the hard job easier. She loved her job. Ella loved animals and dedicated her spare time to rescuing cats and dogs. Her passion was taking care of cats. She rescued many and placed some in good homes, but she kept most of them. She lovingly referred to them as ?my children.? Ella is survived by her family in Switzerland: her sister Erica & husband Gerard Simon; sister Sonja & husband Douglas Fowles; brother Alfred and wife Paola Muller; nephews: Alain, Philippe, Monika, Diana, Sabrina, Linda, Stephan, and Francis; grand-nephews: Michael, Nicolas, Dominic, Laura, Pascal, Angela, and Tania.Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11:00AM (chapels open at 9:00AM) at the chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co. 4840 Mission St., SF followed by inurnment at Olivet Memorial Park.
