Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Alphonso Moglia

Gerald "Jerry" Alphonso Moglia 4/8/1943 – 11/5/2013 Jerry departed this tranquil life and entered this heavenly home on November 5, 2013 at the age of 70. At the age of 3 Jerry was struck by a car. He was later diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis. Over the years he became mentally challenged and at the age of 23 he became blind. From then on our little angel lived a very quiet & peaceful life at home with his loving parents & sister Gloria. Jerry is survived by his cherished sister Gloria (Bruno) Galli, his loving nieces; Gina Galli & Marlene (Philip) Chantri, his beloved uncle & aunt; John & Mary Prinvale and his dear cousins. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone at Home Sweet Home, where he lived following the passing of his mother, Lena, in 2005, for all of their attentive and loving care. A very special thank you goes to his caregivers who treated him as one of their own. The entire staff at Home Sweet Home made Jerry's stay as comfortable as being home. He was truly loved by all. Our angel left this life but every night he will be one of the many twinkling stars in the sky watching over everyone. He is in heaven with his father and mother, Mario & Lena Moglia, grandparents, Alphonso & Maria Moglia and Mario & Virginia Prinvale, uncle & aunt, Charles & Elvera Corvi and Cousin Alma Corvi. Rest in peace our little angel. God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you, and whispered, "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best. Friends may visit on Friday, November 8, 2013 after 9:00AM and are invited to attend the Funeral Service also on Friday at 10:00AM from the chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co. 4840 Mission Street, SF thence to St. Elizabeth Church on the corner of Somerset & Wayland Streets, SF, where a 10:30AM Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Committal to follow at the Italian Cemetery 540 F Street, Colma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests, donations to be made in Jerry's name to your favorite charity.
