Mr. Andres C. Serafica

Andres Calixtro Serafica, of San Francisco, passed away peacefully at the age of 53 on July 15, 2015, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Quezon City, PI to the late Arnold and Pat Serafica on November 30, 1961. He graduated from Watsonville High School in 1979 and went on to double major in History and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving both diplomas magna cum laude in 1984. Even after graduating, he continued to attend Cal football games as often as possible, making sure he was the loudest fan in his section. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from UCLA in 1987. He married Eulisa Visperas Serafica on November 2, 1991, and enjoyed one of the happiest and most loving marriages known to family and friends. Andres, or “Andy” as he was often called, took great pride in his work as an attorney at law. He established his own law practice and would never turn down a request for help. He was a devoted husband to Eulisa and loving father to Samantha, Jason, Michaela, and Sabrina. He carried that same pride and joy into all of his pursuits, whether golfing, coaching basketball, cheering at Cal games, being designated driver, planning vacations, cooking, playing guitar, singing karaoke, raising four kids, or being their number one cheerleader. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Eulisa; his four children, Samantha, Jason, Michaela, and Sabrina; his siblings, Nicolas Serafica, Vida (Boyd) Solomon, Ven (Ted) Reyes, Florence (James) Stewart, Leo Serafica, Gloria Serafica, Linda (Julian) Roberts, and Mimi (Oscar) Serafica-Oomens; as well as several more friends and loved ones. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at San Francisco General Hospital for their compassionate care. Family and friends may visit on Thursday after 5:00 PM and are invited to attend the Vigil Service also on Thursday at 7:00 PM and the Funeral Service on Friday at 10:30 AM from the chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co. 4840 Mission Street SF then to Church of the Epiphany where an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
