Mrs. Meredith Bogni

“If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together, there is something you must always remember; you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think, but the most important thing is, even if we’re apart, I’ll always be with you.” – Winnie the Pooh At 6:45 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2014, surrounded by her family, Meredith Bogni, 64, of San Francisco passed away after three hard fought years with cancer. Together for over 41 years, Meredith is survived by her husband; Carlo Bogni; six children; Dominic Bogni, Danielle Bogni, Mike Bogni, Brigidan Bogni-Rodriguez, Tom Bogni, and Carla Jonoubeh; and her brother and sister-in-law; Craig and Kathy Baxley. Loved by many as just Nana, Meredith is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; Megan Bogni-Rodriguez, Josette Bogni-Rodriguez, Maura Bogni-Rodriguez, Jessica O'Rourke, Tamara Jonoubeh, Lukas Jonoubeh, Audrey Jonoubeh, Tessa Jonoubeh, Sean Bogni, Melanie Bogni, Ben Bogni, Torie Bogni, Shelbie Pickel, Caleb Bogni; and two soon-to-be beautiful great-grandchildren. She was born in Torrance, CA, on October 6, 1949, to the late Beth and Bill Baxley. Meredith spent nearly thirty years in early childhood education. She culminated her storied career by working towards and earning an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from City College of San Francisco. She spent her remaining career continuing to enrich the lives of her students. She relished in the milestones each child achieved and would often celebrate them along with each family. While the onset of sickness forced her to change her path in life, she never wavered from finding enjoyment in the potential that each day had to bring. She enjoyed all forms of crafting and baking and she would often share the products of her labor with her family and friends. While our waistlines may have gotten larger, it didn't compare to the love, fun, and laughter we experienced each day. She made us better people, she lifted our spirits, she loved unconditionally, and she will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at Valente Marini Perata & Company, located at 4840 Mission Street, San Francisco, on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 1 PM. A small service will be followed by an opportunity for families and friends to share memories and funny stories.
